Power of Visualization

I have always had trouble with those exercises that ask you to visualize your perfect day.  I think it is just too many components for me to handle at one time.  However, this week at work we were asked to watch a video.  In the video (which unfortunately are not available to the public), they were having the staff at this company think of one specific area they wanted to improve.  They were asked to visualize this working as efficiently as possible.  Then they were asked, how does this look at 100% implementation, what about 50% or 0%.  Suddenly a light went off for me!  What if I were to imagine different areas of my life at 100% of what I wanted them to be?  How would this look?  THEN, what steps do I need to take to make this a reality?  So, simple right?  I found a little quiz online, and I used the categories from it to come up with areas to think about:

Physical- Could include exercise, diet, what you look like, how well you take care of yourself.

Relationships- Family, significant other

Social- Friendships, how often you get out and do things you enjoy, helping your community.

Spiritual- If you have a practice, is it everything you want it to be? How often do you think about things you are thankful for etc.

Mental- This one had strange questions, first it asked about listening to motivational stuff and it also talked about not gossiping, education would be here too.

Financial- how well are you taking care of this area, plans to be debt free, budget, etc.

Business- How is your career going? What are you doing or planning to do to improve it?

Personally, I chose my three top areas.  I don't want to get overwhelmed.

Next, visualize this area being perfect to you.  What does it look like? Write it down.

Now, what things do you need to start or stop doing in order to make this your reality?  Make a list and as soon as possible, TAKE THE FIRST STEP!
